Blood Vine Trailer

A Life Bound by Books is debuting the Blood Vine trailer.

I hoped for a trailer that could capture some of the setting and feel of the novel, so I am incredibly grateful to the vocal ensemble Kitka for granting me permission to use their music as the soundtrack.

The track is called Bratets Kosi, from their album Voices on the Eastern Wind, and it’s a Croatian folksong that epitomizes the feeling of longing I tried to capture in the novel.   I admire the way Kitka is preserving the fading traditions of folk music in Eastern Europe, which is especially a part of the women’s history in those places.  If you’d like to read more about Kitka, visit their website.

And without further ado: go look at the trailer!

About Amber Belldene

Amber Belldene grew up on the Florida panhandle, swimming with alligators, climbing oak trees and diving for scallops…when she could pull herself away from a book. As a child, she hid her Nancy Drew novels inside the church bulletin and read mysteries during sermons—an irony that is not lost on her when she preaches these days. Amber is an Episcopal Priest and student of religion. She believes stories are the best way to explore human truths. Some people think it is strange for a minister to write romance, but it is perfectly natural to her, because the human desire for love is at the heart of every romance novel and God made people with that desire. She lives with her husband and two children in San Francisco
