The Maras family has owned the Kastel Estate for more than a century, making wines according to the old-world traditions of their Croatian homeland.
Winemaker Andre Maras has won numerous awards for his lush Zinfandels, grown on vines brought from the Maras vineyards on Solta in the nineteenth century.
Located in beautiful Sonoma County, west of Healdsburg, the Kastel Estate covers forty acres of rolling vineyard. In the center of the property sits a replica of the Maras home, once located on the Dalmatian isle of Solta. However, the family’s historic Mediterranean style villa is not open to the public.
